Rashmi Mindfulness Centre (hereafter referred to as "We," "RMC," "us," or "our") provides counselling services under the following Terms and Conditions. By consenting to our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Nature of Service
RMC follows a person-centered, non-directive approach to counselling, which emphasizes understanding the client’s needs and experiences. Our goal is to help clients cope with or resolve challenges without providing direct solutions. We encourage clients to be open and honest about their thoughts, experiences, and feelings, which enables us to offer appropriate therapeutic guidance.
2. Scope of Service
- We do not prescribe medication or treat clinical psychological disorders listed in DSM-5 or ICD-10.
- If a case exceeds our expertise, we have the right to refer the client to another professional.
- We do not provide any reports or documentation, as we are not authorized to do so.
- Sessions are by appointment only; walk-in clients will not be accommodated.
- Clients must disclose any prior or ongoing psychological or physical conditions. Failure to do so may exclude us from liability for complications.
- The relationship between the client and therapist must remain strictly professional. Any personal or business relationships outside of therapy will compromise the effectiveness of the service.
- Audio or video recording of sessions is strictly prohibited, both online and offline, with or without consent. If discovered, we reserve the right to terminate services and pursue legal action.
3. Benefits of Therapy
Therapy helps increase self-awareness, which leads to personal insights and ways to cope with challenges. We understand that therapy can be difficult, especially for those hesitant to open up. Uncomfortable feelings are normal and part of the healing process. With continued therapy, progress is typically faster than expected.
4. Risks
During or after a session, clients may experience emotional or physical discomfort. This is a normal part of the therapeutic process, and success depends on the efforts of both the therapist and the client.
5. Confidentiality
All information shared during therapy, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), is confidential, except under the following circumstances:
Exceptions to Confidentiality:
- If a client poses a threat to themselves or others.
- If the client is involved in any form of abuse, whether as a victim or perpetrator.
- In the event of a court proceeding involving the client, we will not testify, nor disclose any therapy records.
- Parents or legal guardians have the right to access records of minor clients.
- We are not legally liable for any suicidal, homicidal, or abusive behavior by the client.
- We do not hold any legal liability or responsibility for any physical, verbal, or mental abuse attempts by the client.
- We maintain therapy notes for planning purposes, which will not be disclosed. These records will be discarded after 12 months, except for the client list.
6. Payments
- Sessions are confirmed upon receipt of advance payment.
- Each session lasts 50-55 minutes.
- Service fees are subject to change without prior notice.
- Therapy packages are valid only for a specified duration, during which all sessions must be used.
7. Cancellation, Reschedule, No Show, Late Arrival
- Appointments can be rescheduled up to 3 days before the scheduled date.
- Cancellations or no-shows on the scheduled date will not be rescheduled.
- Time lost due to late arrival will not be compensated, as sessions will begin and end according to the allotted time.
8. Refunds
There is no refund policy for our services.
9. CCTV Surveillance
For security purposes, RMC uses CCTV surveillance (no audio) throughout its premises. By entering, you consent to being recorded. All footage will be handled confidentially and accessed only by authorized personnel when necessary.
